With all hubub about how bad plastic containers are, I looked into sippy cups that are BPA free and found a lot of them. HERE is a website with all kinds of kids stuff that is all BPA free, and the prices aren’t all that bad!

  1. I would really like to understand the hype regarding this and exactly what it is we should be avoiding. Sounds like mostly heating food in the containers is the big deal. Is that right?

  2. I could win a kleen kantene water bottle for posting it on my blog!
It's not just heating up the plastic stuff but washing it in the dish washer too. The chemicals could cause cancer… blah, blah, blah. What got my attention was they don't sell the plastic stuff with BPA in Canada! The Canadians think it's bad enough to make it a law…

  3. I guess I'm interested in the "blah blah blah" part. I keep trying to find something that tells me exactly WHY I should stay away from it.

  4. i googled it a while ago…there is a good article on the bbc…news site….the findings came out like in 2007!
It's been banned every but here. They are saying too that even when the container is sitting in the sun…the chemicals are released.
really the regulations in the US are very light….I've noticed though in stores that pretty much most containers are coming out now BPA free….
