Today I had to take the glucose test for pregnant people. I drank the nasty orange “soda.” The taste wasn’t so bad but my throat was coated with the glucose, which was gross. Then I began to feel all jittery and my heart was beating fast. Very weird. Then Mac was “dancing” all over the place! By the time they took my blood began to feel better. Then I went swimming and got all my energy out- it felt great.
Hopefully the test will come out OK. I’ll let you know!

OK…as though being pregnant is not tough enough, they put you through this torture of drinking orange flavored syrup and tell you to sit and wait. You better pray it comes out good or else you’ll have to do the three hour test and get your blood taken several times and drink a whole stinking lot more of that crap! I failed with Christian, and had to do the 3 hour test! That sucked! I puked on the way home. Oh, sorry…this was not a very encouraging post. ***(tone change) I’m sure it will be fine. Thank goodness they have test like this to keep you and the baby healthy. 😀

You know my story with this test – I failed the first one and had to do the three hour version. But even though it’s a pain in the butt and that orange drink is absolutely VILE, it’s worth it in the end. Gotta make sure that you and Mac-ette are in tip-top shape, right?
In respect to what you women have done, I will drink orange soda today.
Be sure to dump in a couple more packs of sugar to make it a little closer to the real thing…
Thank you all for your “votes of confidence.” Hopefully I won’t have to do the three hour one, but I won’t hold my breath. By the way men, they call it a “soda” but it’s not carbonated at all! YUCK!
Just say “no” to all those other tests they try to talk you into.
