look at me
I asked Avery if she had to go to the bathroom before we left…
A: No, don’t have to go.
Me: Are you sure? We’ll be in the car for a while…
A: Look at me. I don’t have to pee.
Like I can “see” if she has to pee or not!

We checked out a kids book and tape from the library for Avery to enjoy. She was excited, so when we got home she took it all out and… the tape was broken!! The ribbon wasn’t attached, there was no way to play the tape!! So, when we went to return the books we had checked out, I kept the tape & book out to show the librarian. I explained that we didn’t even put the tape into the machine… we had to pay for the book & tape! At first the computer said it was worth $22, so I told them to forget it, I won’t return it and you can charge me $6- the most they charge for a lost or overdue book. She was nice enough to only charge us $5!
Now is the time to start checking people off your Christmas list.
Avery’s school is having a fund raiser!!
They have magazines, fine chocolates, jewelery, wrapping paper, fun kitchen stuff, calendars and so much more all at great prices. Check them out online, www.sigfund.com
Student Name: Avery Cameron
School Name: Kids Corner Pre School
City & State: Ventura, CA
The Fund raiser ends on No vber 20th, so you have plenty of time.
I went with Avery’s school to Faulkner Farms to their pumpkin patch in Santa Paula (HOT). It was pretty neat. There was a petting zoo, hay maze, sunflower maze, a hay mountain to climb and a hay ride. Of coarse we got to take home a pumpkin too!!
We finally went and got Avery’s hair cut! She is almost 3 and a half! She was very excited to have “Eisley’s dad” cut her hair like Sleeping Beauty. He did a great job and she was happy with hit.
Avery’s been playing the computer for a while now- but with a mouse. I didn’t think she was coordinated enough to use the track pad. Well, I guess she has pretty good hand-eye coordination after all.
Avery had her preschool pictures done. It took FOREVER!! By noon (2.5 hours) the photgrapher had only taken pictures of two classes!! I hope the pictures came out and I want to keep them. I did get one of the class while we were waiting.
Pretty good for a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds who had been waiting inside all morning for their turn.
We drove up and Avery kept saying “TV, TV, TV, look mom TV…” I was so confused. There is no television outside and if wants to watch TV she doesn’t use those words- “watch a show” is what she says. When I unbuckle her she runs out to the gate… whatever, she is a nut. I go around to get Sawyer and I finally notice what she is talking about. There is a box on the wall, on it, it says “TV!!”
She read it!! Now, I am realizing she has done this before- McDonalds, packages of food, trucks with advertizements… but those are all pictures, this was actually only letters.
So, I consider this (pre) reading!!
Sawyer is now 2 months old! He is waking just once at night (between 4 and 5) and then back to sleep till about 7:30. He still fights sleep- he gets over tired and fights going to sleep, cries and gets even more tired!
He still has big bug eyes, blue- hope he keeps those. Avery likes when he sits in the bumbo so she can read him a book. He is so interested in that!! She still wants him to sit with her and wants him to “do stuff” with her- like go on the wings at the park.
Overall he is a pretty good baby- he eats, sleeps and poops! He is smiling more now, which is fun.
Avery made this self portrait on the first day of school. I had to ask her what was up with her hair. She did this crazy hair because it is her ponytail. Makes sense now!! It reminds me of an SNL character.
