Dan redid all the grass in the backyard. It was uneven and either brown (not enough water) or muddy (too much water!) in spots.

Now I have to remember to water it while Dan is gone.

We went to the pier the other day and they replaced the entire playground there. Lots of new swings and a fun new playground. It was pretty good, one for younger kids and one for older kids. This slide was on the end of the “older” kids playground. I saw kids going down it from afar and couldn’t tell why they were falling off the sides- probably a bit on purpose too. As I got closer, I figured out why- there are no sides to it!! That can’t be safe- even for “older” kids!!

Can anyone use a one-way ticket wherever Southwest flies? It expires on June 25th. Email me…

Avery and I shared a Heryshy’s Stick after lunch.

She said “They are long, like me!”

We went to California Adventure & Disneyland (again) to celebrate Avery’s third birthday. It was pretty hot- we drank more water those two days than in a normal week, Martha would be proud! Avery is now 40 inches so we got to go on all the rides we wanted to except for the water ride in CA Ad, she has to be 42 inches for that one.

Dan bought some “gourmet” chocolate- you know the kind that isn’t all waxy. It was really good, but it melted pretty fast.

I purposely spelled it wrong in the title, Avery calls is “COCOLATE.” She can say the “CH” sound, just doesn’t in this word. Crazy girl.

Today was Avery’s third birthday!!

We went to Fudd Rucker’s in TO for dinner- Dan’s choice!!

It was was long & exciting day, time to rest.

Avery got a bag of ladybugs and  a magnifying glass. She is very interested in them, but wants them to go home to their mamas at the same time!
