We were at the park today and a mom was telling me about her friend whose son choked on a bead… bad situation.
As she is telling me this Avery is bringing me “treasures” she was finding in the sand… beads! I told her to bring the beads as soon as she found them!
Today was Avery’s first day of pre school at Kids Corner. She was very excited. She helped me (or I helped her) pack her lunch. She kept telling me about her “peanut butter & jelly sandwich in mine lunch box!” She kept getting the lunch box out of her cubby to show her new friends.

I decided to put her in school now because baby #2 is due the day after school starts in August and I didn’t want her to associate baby with having to go to school. Ok, baby is here, now off to school with you… So, she will finish out the school year in the 2’s class on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

I am working at the school too. So, now I am a working mama. It’s only 8 hours a week, but still working!! I am working in her class with Mrs. Meijer with up to 13, 2 and 3 year olds!!

She absolutely loved it! She cried when we got ready to leave. She wanted to nap there with the other kids, but we eventually came home for a good nap. I was ready for a nap too!
Avery has been into wearing Dan’s clothes! She insists on wearing his jacket and hat, even if he is already wearing them!

Funny thing she is not picky at all about her clothes.

We went up to Mammoth for a few days. After a late start on Wednesday, we finally got in just before midnight. Dan went snowboarding while Avery and I explored what Mammoth has to offer. It worked out really well. Everyone we were with boarded only half day (12;30 to 4:30). So we all met for lunch at the main lodge at 11:30. They took off for the slopes while Avery and I started our daily adventure. We rode the bus down the mountain and stopped along the way. We rode the gondola every day. By the time we got back to our “condo” we were nice and tired and ready for a nap!

Our condo was a studio apartment! Four days, three people in one room!! FUN times!! By Sunday Dan and I were ready to come home, but not Avery. She loved the bus rides, seeing her cousins, playing with Katie and was not ready to come home!

While we were in Mammoth Dan’s sister and family drove two hours to see us. Avery had a lot of fun with her cousins. Shannon just turned 7 and Donna is about a month younger than Avery. We had lunch then walked around the downtown area and got some hot chocolate. We even saw Gina Davis (yes, it was her!) at Starbucks!! The highlight was riding up the gondola to meet Dan.

HERE are some more pics to check out!!
I am now officially 20 weeks… half way. The baby is almost 12 ounces and 7 inches long.
Depends on if you look at the glass half full, or half empty.
