Avery is officially in undies all day now. She still wears a pull-up at night. Lord, the girl drink SO MUCH. How di I say no when she asks for more water? That’ll be another hurdle to conquer later on.
She needs a little bit of help pulling up her undies still…
We won a family portrait. Of coarse the free one was HUGE, but we got regular sized ones too. We have never done a family portrait, so here is the first one ever. At least we are all smiling and have our eyes open!
We all have them- little things drive us crazy!
* People who put sunscreen on themselves or their kids minutes (or even seconds) before getting into the water. Do you not see the sunscreen pool around you after you jump in? Read the directions- apply 20 minutes before entering the water.
* In the “mommy & me” swim class, the moms who don’t want to get wet! Watch out, you are in a POOL, you might get splashed a few times!!
* People (mostly men…hmmm) who don’t use turn signals. They were put on a car to be used. Granted, I use them ALL the time, even when it’s obvious I will be turning- I am in a turn lane, but still, some people never use them! I think it may even be the law in CA.
* People who comment on how “skinny” you look. What did you do? Well, let’s see, I eat ice cream every night and every morning I eat at least 3 donuts and down them with whole FATTY milk! What do you think I do? I move my A$$!
* Moms who complain about not having “me time.” Was it not your choice to have kid(s) with the man you did? Should have waited for a “real” man like I did. I get plenty of me time, and they (dad and kids) get some quality time. A lady told me I was SO lucky to have a husband who wants to take his daughter out to lunch, to the park, the movies- I was thinking, “well duh! I wouldn’t have married a man who wouldn’t want to do that stuff… Too bad you didn’t!”
The list goes on and on…

‘Heart-kun’, a chihuahua puppy, has been born with a perfect heart-shaped pattern in his fur. The breeder, from Japan, has never seen a similar mark on 1000 pups she has bred.
Avery and I have been going to the library to get books and stuff (music, DVDs, books on CD…) for a few months. If there is a book I definitely want, I don’t bother looking for it on the shelf, I just “order” it through my account on line and they let me know when it is at the library waiting for me. This, I love about the library system. I can get books from any library in county and return them to my library.
The system is flawed though! If you have a “block” of any kind you can’t do any business on line- order or renew books. A block is, a fine (you owe $ because your books are over due) or you have a book “on hold” waiting for you. This makes no sense. Since the library is holding two books for me, I can’t order any more books or (worse yet) I can’t RENEW any books! So now, I have to go to the library to renew (or return) my books, pick up my “on hold” books in order to order any more books.
I talked to the librarian about this last time and they know it is a flowed system. It isn’t Ventura County Libraries though, it’s the whole state of California! Maybe I should write to Arnold…
Ok, so I found yet another crazy dog lady. Not only does this dog have his own fancy stroller, with a restraint, I am sure, it was all decorated. He is all dressed up for the Fourth of July! He has on a his hat, scarf and I know you can’t see it but his nails are painted too!!
We did the Pushem’ Pullem’ Parade this year. I walked while Dan pulled the wagon. Or was it Dan that sat in the wagon while Avery and Martha shared the pulling? More pics here.
