Hand Prints

Dan did some re-concrete work in the back yard too. So Avery got to do her handprints for the first time. It was little tough, but it worked. Obviously she liked it since she was able to get so dirty. Dan wouldn’t let me put any jewels in though. It would have been cuter that way.

Another Long Weekend

Dan had this idea of re-doing our back patio area- grass. I thought this was kind of a large project, but he seemed to think it would be easy and we could do it oursleves. The plan was this weekend we would get the cement out and cleaned up and prep for grass. Next weekend we would lay the sod and have grass to play in the next weekend. But if you know my husband you know he is “get it done” guy- remember we did each bathroom in one weekend. So this morning Dan went and rented a truck to get our sod here, laud it out, then took a shower and took us to church.

Check out the process:

Dan and his dad got the concrete broken up and put into the dumpster.
Dan had some “help” laying the sprinkler.
Finally some grass  to play in. Thanks Dan.

First time for everything…

This afternoon Avery and I went swimming and or the first time Avery pooped in her water diaper. I could tell she was pooping by “the look” on her face.  No, nothing fell out or anything like that. We just got out of the pool and walked home.
Considering how many times we have been swimming this summer we have been pretty lucky.

I am now very glad we use the disposable kind.

It was pretty gross.

Pray for Kelsi

Kelsi in one of Avery’s little friends. She is two weeks younger than Avery. Kelsi has reddish hair, blue eyes, a big smile and chubby cheeks.

About a week ago Kelsi began to swell up. Her mom, Heather, took her to the doctor and they did a few tests… not cancer, kidney or liver problems. The swelling got worse. Kelsi wasn’t able to move much since she was so swollen. She was admitted to CMH on Thursday and let go on Saturday. Well, Sunday she got worse- not eating or drinking. She is now at UCLA with an IV. Kelsi can’t move around because she is hooked up to so many machines. I magine telling a one year old to sit ALL DAY! The docs are talking about doing exploratry surgery on this little 15 month old. SCARY. Heather is a single mom, lives with her parents in Ventura.
Please pray for Heather and Kelsi, that they are able to come home soon- healthy.

Dan’s new computer area

Dan’s new computer area

Originally uploaded by Dan_Cameron.

We had a busy weekend. On Saturday we reorganized (wasn’t really organized to begin with) the garage and put a bunch of stuff in storage. Then we had lunch (Marshall’s Bodacious BBQ), swimming then JB’s b-day BBQ.
Then on Sunday afternoon we decided to reorganize our “office.” Dan and I switched desks locations, so we (Dan) was able to go through a bunch of stuff. There is no picture of my desk because I still need to go through a lot of stuff- not sure when that’s going to be done…

Bangs’- we’ve got more stuff for your garage sale!

She has gotten so big…

I pulled out Avery’s infant seat to put into storage and she loved playing in it. She climbed in it a few times and she seemed so HUGE in it. I remember when she was so tiny…
