Did anyone see the kids (high school age) protesting in front of the government center today? I drove by at about noon and at 2pm, I did not hear one single car honk in agreement!
On the news I saw a bunch of high schools in LA and the valley had “walk outs” to go protest. They walked across the freeways blocking offramps. Maybe these kids should have been in school!!
Wow! Today we went to the ultimate princess party for Savannah Danielle.
The place was “princessed” out- pink balloons, jolly jumps, slide, princess & dragon pinatas, lots of food, cake, cupcakes… so much fun. Savannah even had her very own “throne” to her cake.
Avery loved the slide. Dan would put on the top and let her go… she laughed all the way down. It was great. Dan even went down the slide with her!
Happy Birthday Savannah, hope you had fun- we sure did!

We went out to get a bite to eat and when we returned to our car to leave found we had a problem. As you can see our car (the silver one) is parked in the lines the right way. The other car however is not. I had to back out our car in order to be able to put Avery in her carseat! Good thing both Dan and I were there or I’m not sure how I would have gotten her in. I did leave them a nice note under thier windshield wiper!
Please take the 8 seconds it takes to back up and park straight and in the lines if you have parked crooked and out of the lines.
I know this seems super early but, I am a planner- I can’t help it. So, write this information down on your calendars;
Avery’s First Birthday Bash!!
Saturday, May 6th from 11 am to 1 pm.
Baranca Vista Park on Ralston in Ventura.
There will be an authentic lunch served, cake for dessert and fun stuff for the kids.

Aloha! Rory’s birthday luau ended up being inside due to the weather. It felt like it was about to snow- so cold. We had burgers and dogs from the grill, enjoyed cupcakes from Starbucks and opened a few presents. Then it was time to go home and take a nap!
It’s over- 8 weeks. All together the 16 of us (who logged onto the web sight to record our weight) lost 200 pounds! That is pretty stinkin’ good. I ended up losing 12.9% and Dan lost 11.2%.
Now let’s hope we all keep it off. Dan and I have changed the way we eat, which is the best part of this. I thought we would be out eating a bunch of junk today, but so far we’ve been good. We drove by Cost Co and didn’t stop for an ice cream!
Now I need to make time to go… shopping with my winnings! Thanks guys.
