I was at Target today and had a very bad experience. I was shopping along with many others in the Christmas stuff, that is all 50% off, so you can imagine how crowded it was! I was trying to get through the main aisle and there were too many of us trying to get through, and there was one cart that was the problem, so being the nice person that I am I moved the cart over about 6 inches, just so that we could all get through. The lady who was using the cart, gave me the dirtiest look. You’ve heard the saying, “if looks could kill…”
Here is the conversation- if you could call it that.

Me: I moved your cart so that we could all get through.

Her: You are all the way over there, my cart is over here. (all the way over there was maybe 3 feet)

Me: Sorry, I moved it so that we could all get through…

Her: (getting louder now) Mind your own business.

Me: (I am aghast now, that she is so pissed, so I begin to kind of laugh/smile!) OK.

Her: BITCH!! (This part was very loud as people around me turned around to see the commotion).

As I walk away a lady who saw the whole thing told me I did nothing wrong. I just kept smiling.

So, since it is after the 25th of December, is the season over? You know being nice, kind, sharing… how sad!

Hope that lady gets home OK. She was in some mood, I tell ya! Man, it’s been a long time since I was called a bitch.

We are home at last. We had a great trip. The two flights back were great, we had three seats between us on each flight. Avery didn’t cry on the way up or down and even slept a little. Now we have to unpack and get all the Christmas stuff put away till next year.

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. We are still in Boise, Idaho. Unfortunately it is to warm to go tubing- all the snow is melting! Bogus Basin, the ski joint here is closed too! My sister and niece have a season pass they haven’t gotten a chance to use yet.
Avery had a great first Christmas with her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents all around.
Today we went to see “Fun with Dick & Jane,” at the new Edwards in downtown Boise. What a treat!!

On Saturday we decided we needed to run a few errands since we are flying on Thursday morning. I went to go take a shower, and Dan was supposed to get Avery dresses so that when I was done in the shower we cold take off. I even left clothes out for her to wear. I got out of the shower and go to check on them and this is what I see. I nearly fell over I was laughing so hard.
None of these items are what I left out for her to wear. Her tights are on backwards so the heals are sticking up. This onsie is one she has never worn for obvious reasons!
Dan-thank you for dressing Avery, I do appreciate it, but next time stick the clothes I have left out for her to wear.

Finally we got a dumpster and loaded it up. It was over full. I was worried the trash people wouldn’t pick it up, but they did. All the trash is GONE!

I took avery to the Picture People to get some free pics done- not even a sitting fee! They turned out cute! Her first Christmas… how fun! Of coarse they are so small they are hard to see, but I am sure you can imagine how cute they are!

Dan’s Carseat

Dan’s car (Mitsu Diamante) has a built-in car seat in his car. We had never used it until this weekend. We decided to try it out and she LOVED IT. I think she liked facing the right direction, she wasn’t looking at the back of a chair and a mirror- like in my car. It was very exciting. The directions on the car seat says it is good for kids from 20 to 100 pounds! That seems a bit large but who knows!

I have done it again- my wallet is gone! I had it, and now it’s gone. I think I lost it (or someone took it) between the car and visiting a friend at her office downtown. I have called and cancelled and replaced… but now I have no picture ID and we are supposed to fly on December 22nd. YIKES. I am in search of my passport…
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a photo ID pronto? HELP!

Avery is now 7 months old! Her first Christmas is coming up. How exciting. I remember last year at this time- I was sick and uncomfortable- daydreaming about this Christmas… we are so blessed.
Only two teeth on the bottom, getting ready to crawl and napping a lot still. She is either smiling or “talking” almost all day long. She is a happy girl.

What a Saturday we have had. Dan is on a role with these home improvements! Thursday he went to Cost Co and bought the stuff we needed. Today we cleared the room, took out carpet and put in the wood flooring. It looks great. All we need to do is buy some wood for the baseboards. We will probably buy them tomorrow morning (before church) and put them in in the afternoon! Dan decided that we needed to change the layout of the living room as well. So far, I like it., but let’s give it a few days.
Since we have done both bathrooms and the now the floor in the living room, we have a lot of trash! We had to wait till we had all the trash out of the house before getting rid of it all. Now, I can call on Monday about a dumpster. It is pretty gross to see all that trash, but it looks so good on the inside now.
