I got to play two games of scrabble by the pool today. The first was horrible. I was playing my mom and sister (who are in a “scrabble club”) and my 13 year old niece. I lost horribly, I barely broke 100. It was a bit embarassing, so I used the fact that I have to pee every 15 minutes as an excuse. The second game was much better. I played my mom and dad. I was the first one out and I ended up with 257 points while my parents almost broke 200! My dad even got a “bingo,” where he used all 7 letters and got an extra 50 points added to the points he got for the word he used.

How long can a baby (in the womb) have the hiccups? Good grief…

Dan and I went out to dinner tonight. We decided to try a new place. Dan had seen a commercial for a place called “Marshall’s Bodacious BBQ.” It is on the street that is parallel to the 101 between Johnson and Victoria. So it’s in a weird place, where car repair shops and truckers fill up!
This place was really good. They cook all the meat (tri tip, sausage, burgers…) and the garlic bread outside on a huge grill- and not until you order it (very fresh). Dan got a meal, which was HUGE; salad, garlic bread, tri tip, sausage, baked beans and potato salad. I just got a tri tip sandwich. There was a lot left over.

One day old… Rory was holding his head up high! Stacy is doing great.
She’ll be home on Monday. Hoby is so proud of his cute son.

He’s here! Hoby & Stacy are officially parents! Rory Anderson Pearce was delivered via C-Section at 12:21 pm at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks on Thursday, March 10th. He weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long! He even has hair! Congratulations… Allison- you’re next…

Dan and I went to the neonatalogist this morning! Everything looks great with Baby Avery! She is measuring between 33 and 34 weeks though- she is large! Avery is not small, she is in the 80th percentile, that is VERY good! We go back in 4 weeks for another update on her size, that is at 35 weeks. We’ll keep you updated!

Yes! Stacy and Hoby are at the hospital now! She went into labor at 2 am, got the hospital at 4 am and got an epideral. By 8 am she was 7 cm. They gave her pitocin (sp?) and are hoping for Rory to come out very soon!

On Saturday I got my first “practice contractions.” Dan and I were out and about and all of a sudden my stomach got really, really tight. It was the weirdest feeling. It lasted about 5 or 6 minutes! WEIRD!
