I drive down Loma Vista about a few times a week for some reason or another. I have noticed there is a pharmacy across from the hospital, that has a hilarious sign out front. The sign reads, “we accept insurance.” What kind of pharmacy now-a-days doesn’t accept insurance? This seems like a silly advertisement to have. An update to my post titled, “Left Behind…” We have not been late since that day! He is watching the clock closely and is ready when he is supposed to be! Amazing! It worked. Maybe he learned his lesson!
This morning I woke up early (for a Saturday anyway) and decided to go check out the garage sales. Glad I did! I went to about 6 garage sales but only bought at two of them. The last one was the “jackpot.” I got three bags full of girlie clothes for only $9.00. Check out the photo to see how awesome a deal I found. Yes, they were all clean, not stained and from a non-smoking house!
Today I had to take the glucose test for pregnant people. I drank the nasty orange “soda.” The taste wasn’t so bad but my throat was coated with the glucose, which was gross. Then I began to feel all jittery and my heart was beating fast. Very weird. Then Mac was “dancing” all over the place! By the time they took my blood began to feel better. Then I went swimming and got all my energy out- it felt great.
Hopefully the test will come out OK. I’ll let you know!
This morning I had another ultrasound done. Mac is still a girl! Hurray!
They did all the measuring of bones, the head, spine and all that. They upped my due date to April 29th (from May 8th). This ultrasound took 45 minutes. It took so long because Mac was moving so much- but not her face! They couldn’t get a picture of her face because she was facing away from the ultrasound (camera) the whole time. How rude!
I have been getting fed up with being late all the time when I need to get the kids I pick up after school to an activity. They are are so slow getting ready to go. I give them so much time, to get ready, I give them a countdown (starting with 20 minutes). We (they) are always late, no matter what! I talked to a “seasoned parent” about this frustration, he gave me some advice- leave them. If they miss an activity that they like then hopefully they will be ready on time…
So, today I left the older kid (almost 10). The 7 year old was ready on time, so at 3:00 the two of us left. We drove around the block and came back. Boy, was he pissed.
We’ll see on Tuesday if we are late again…
I don’t if any of you watch the show, “The Amazing Race” on NBC. Dan and I have been watching for a few years now. The teams that are on this season are… eclectic to say the least. There is one team on particular that drive Dan and I CRAZY, that’s because they are CRAZY. Their names are John & Victoria. He is an entrepeneur of some kind, and she is married to him. He blames her for everything- even when it’s his fault. He yells at everyone and anything for any reason. He makes me so mad… I want to kick him! She yells back at him, but he is definitely abusive. Supposedly they “make up” after they fight. Mostly it is him yelling at her for some reason or another. She does argue back but, he drives her to it. As much as they bother us, Dan & I still watch every week. We can’t wait till they get booted- his reaction will be… interesting to say the least.
Dan and I just watched the movie “Open Water.” It’s a low-budget film about a couple who are left (forgotten) in the water after a SCUBA diving trip. It is based on a true story. They were eaten alive by sharks! This is why I am not a fan of going into the ocean! SCARY!
Hello! Today we went to the doctor again, this time for an ultrasound! Mac has no penis! Hurray, it’s a girl. I love pink!
Dan and I have been married for three years today! I am an old married lady! Love ya more, babe.
