New Show

There is a new “Law & Order” spinoff called “Trial by Jury.” I love watching “L&O” repeats daily since it has been on for so many years. This new show is ok. There has only been one show so far so I can’t really give a fair opinion yet. The “new” part of this show is that we (the audience) are “in” the jury room and see them make their decision. You also get to see both sides of the actual trial. I like that there are “cameo” appearances from the other spinoffs. One thing that didn’t make sense was that Jerry Orbach (Det. Briscoe) was in this first show. In the show he retired from the force and in real life he died of cancer in December 04!
Did anyone else see this show?

  1. Of course, I fell asleep at the crucial moment, but that always happens. I saw it and was a bit confused about the appearance of Jerry. It sounded like from the dialogue they were pertending he got promoted, not retired. Hmmm, fuzzy.

  2. I said the same thing to James (about Det. Briscoe) he told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. I was right! You’d think he know better because that’s all he watches!

  3. You know you are rite- why argue?
Det. Briscoe definitely retired in December. I was sad. I liked him. Then he went and died. Did you know he was a broadway singer when he was younger? Who knew?

  4. Yes, we saw it. The episode was obvioulsy filmed quite a while ago, maybe before his cancer got so bad. I’ll miss ol Lenny, always with a sarcastic comment. Dad
