Avery just celebrated her “half birthday.” She is now 6 and a half. Sometimes I just think… how did this happen? She’s really growing up.

She’s been asking about a book we checked out at the library called “Manners.” It’s published by American Girl Co. She really liked the one chapter we read about introducing people to each other. She loves to practice. So we got her that book and a shirt. She kept the book with her all day. I took the kids to an early movie after school, Smurfs, at the cheap theater. The movie was… let’s say I’m glad we saw it at the cheap theater.

Yes, it’s kind of silly to celebrate half birthdays, but we like to celebrate the little things, life is worth celebrating.
