While we were at Hume we took the time to drive down to “the big trees.” There’s a 1.5 mile walking tour on a trail through the sequoias. It was hot, but with the shade from the trees it was fine.

There were a few that had fallen and caught fire that we could walk through.

We ended up staying for 2 hours. We had lunch, walked and hiked. We even saw some people riding horses. Avery wanted to ride horses too, a black one like Black Beauty… we didn’t have time and it cost a lot.
