Avery just finished her first “show.” She was a part of the preschool choir at the church down the street from us. She had rehearsal every Sunday at 9am for 3 and a half months. It was a commitment.
She wanted to “quit” a few times, but I explained to her that she made a commitment and she had to finish. She did- smiling.
I was surprised that she wanted to quit, being on stage and singing seemed to be her “thing.” It took a while, but I figured it out, she didn’t like the waiting. A few times the choir performed during the church service and she did have to wait to go on stage. They have two services on Sunday mornings, 9 and 10:45. So it was a long morning and there was a lot of waiting.

This weekend was full of performances! She performed on Saturday night- grandma & Strykers were able to come. She performed twice on Sunday morning. Our neighbor Allie was able to come to the 9am performance and our friend Lark & her boys was able to come to the 10:45 performance. Lukas brought Avery roses after the show. It was SO cute!!

She doesn’t want to be in the choir for the next show. She wants to wait till she can dance on stage. The kids can try out for those parts starting in first grade. We’ll see…
